Accept have stamped the sound we refer to as thrash metal before thrash was even coined. Their Fast As A Shark single is considered to be the first in the sub-genre, setting the scene for such bands as Def Leppard and Motley Crue to emerge in the 80s. At time touching on sexually explicit and hardcore lyrics, at others more subtle and commercial, Accept circled the globe from Germany across Europe, to Japan and the US, visiting the world's metal capitals to sold out concerts.
