About Black Sabbath
It is hard to imagine, but before they formally picked the name Black Sabbath, the most influential heavy metal band in history was called Polka Tulk Blues Band. They changed to Black Sabbath and quickly moved from playing blues rock to playing hard rock. The name Black Sabbath was taken from an earlier song they recorded by the same name.
