About Calexico
Calexico are based in the Southwest and draw their influences from many places and sources. The band is named after the border city in Southern California, the state from which they arrived before settling in Arizona, and their music too is influenced both by traditional southwest sounds and Mexican music. Peculiarly enough, Calexico have cited Nancy Sinatra as their influence, and their song has even appeared on Sinatra's self-titled album in 2004.
