Debut album of Candlemass Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, was issued in 1986, and though it immediately announced their standing within metal clique, with the arrival of new vocalist Messiah Marcolin for creating 1987's album Nightfall the band found its true voice — quite literally — as the singer's vibrato-laden operatic tone remains completely original to this day.
