Singer-songwriter Dido faced repeated problems in trying to release her material on a CD and instead toured on Sarah McLachlan's Lilith Fair tour and other venues to spread her name and music. Soon enough it was Stan, or rather Eminem, who helped Dido reach millions of listeners who would otherwise not be able to find her easily, when her voice was sampled for the song and promoted the singer and her debut album like no other means would.
