About Elmore James
When he was 12 years old, Elmore James, who would become known as the King of the Slide Guitar, would play in a guitar-like fashion using a broom wire strung up on a shack wall. Dusk My Broom, a song by Elmore James, would become his trademark song in the 50s, a time he also switched to electric guitar and was accompanied by the Broom dusters.
