About Henry Mancini
Henry Mancini learned to play the flute and piano at a young age, growing up in Pennsylvania. Except for an interruption due to the Second World War for which Henry Mancini was drafted, he continued his studies and gained professional experience at Universal-International Studios, where he contributed to over 100 movies in a six year span during the 50s. One of these scores, for The Glenn Miller Story, has won Mancini his first Oscars nomination.
