Ice Cube enjoyed his best years in the early 90s, with critically acclaimed album releases as well as controversies that helped his name get out to new crowds. At the same time, Ice Cube appeared in Boyz N the Hood, his first film role, to great success once more, and performed live on Lollapalooza (1992) thus crossing over to an entirely new fan base of alternative rockers.
