American rock singer Iggy Pop (born James Newell Osterberg, Jr.)has had commercial success only if one would accumulate his entire discography over the past three plus decades. But that means little when considering the effect Iggy Pop has had on the English punk scene of the 70s, the Californian alternative rock scene of the late 80s and every rock and roll energy sweated out on stage anywhere since his Stooges first performed in 1967. It matters less to Iggy Pop himself.
