About MC5
MC5 formed in Lincoln Park, MI, in late 1964 by vocalist Rob Tyner, guitarists Fred 'Sonic' Smith and Wayne Kramer, bassist Pat Burrows, and drummer Bob Gaspar. Contrary to what they would become later on, MC5 began their career at while its members were still in high school, appearing at local parties and teen hangouts while clad in matching stage uniforms.
