Washington, DC has seen a punk scene evolve in the early 80s, a scene of which Minor Threat were a major part. Like Bad Brains, another DC-based punk group, Minor Threat has produced high quality, short and fast songs, which the record label the band members owned produced, resulting in some of the better punk songs of the early 80s.
