About Mott The Hoople
Active during the 70s, Mott the Hoople has never been a chart success or a commercial boom, except for the #3 single, All the Young Dudes, written by David Bowie for the band. Mott the Hoople was famous, though among rock and roll underground, for their live shows. A 1971 live concert at the Royal Albert Hall that ended with a riot led to a ban on rock concert at the Hall for several years.
