Brooklyn-born the Notorious BIG debuted in 1994 with his album Ready to Die, not only becoming a major hit on the rap scene but invoking a motif that would characterize his rap and also predict his outcome. Only three years remained for the Notorious BIG before he would get shot and die. The next Notorious BIG album, Life After Death, would already be released posthumously.
