About Papa Roach
The name of the band, Papa Roach, was given to it by frontman Jacoby Shaddix who named it after his step-grandfather, Howard William Roatch, who was nicknamed Papa Roach. After the original Papa Roach killed himself in 2006, the band paid tribute to him in various recordings and on stage.
