About Pixies
A combination of punk influences and a surfer's spirit, the Pixies have gone from melodic to freakish over the course of a song, every song. The playful and energetic Francis Black, Kim Deal and company made classics of the Pixies albums Surfer Rosa and Doolittle, while influencing other American rock bands, including most importantly Nirvana, earning them comparisons with the Velvet Underground.
