Pulp, founded in 1978 by schoolmates in Sheffield, England, have been active before Britpop became what it has become and have actually been respo0nsible for the rising scene at the time. Influenced by David Bowie and the Cure among others, Pulp add a unique presence and musical style to the English indie rock scene.
