To imagine that the Rolling Stones were part of the British Invasion of the early 60s is shocking on two levels: the Rolling Stones have been around since 1960, settling on the core lineup around Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and renaming themselves ‘the Rolling Stones' in 1962, and that the band has ever been a part of a wave of any sort. If history taught us one thing is that the Rolling Stones are a one-of-a-kind act.
