About Saint Etienne
English indie dance act Saint Etienne are part band and part concept. With sweet girly-voiced Sarah Cracknell in the front, Saint Etienne is as much a conceptual project of her two former journalists as a musical endeavor. Their attempt to mix an oldie sounding 60s groove with modern day contemporary dance beats was achieved usually by the band covering old songs with their new sophisticated sound.
