About Toni Braxton
Although for much of her childhood Toni Braxton was denied any real contact with the music world, because of her parents' Apostolic faith, they later converted, allowing Toni more leeway in her musical training. It was then that Toni Braxton began singing in earnest, and she was discovered by songwriter Bill Pettaway, who heard her singing while she worked at a gas station.
