Singer Maynard James Keenan founded Tool in Los Angeles in 1990 to form one of the most creative and experimental progressive rock bands ever. Since their first album's metal rock style, Tool have become an alternative icon for the entire American rock scene, with Ænima in 1996 and Lateralus in 2001.
