About Tricky
Tricky had a rough childhood, having never met his father and being four years old at the time his mother committed suicide. His debut album was named after his mother, by joining her full name to create Maxinquaye. Tricky established himself with this album as a brilliant musician, lyricist, rapper, singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Bristol sounds have never been this clear, powerful and successful as in 1995 when this album was released.
